Day 19 of my captivity. The authorities continue to misunderstand my demands for humane treatment. Surely the powers that be would not have been so cruel as to place me in the power of those who do not speak a civilized tongue, but it appears to be the case. I will continue in my quest to educate them and sing them the song of my people.
