Overheard on my way back to my office from the cafeteria:
All joking aside, the storms last night did a number on our campus. Lots and lots of broken windows, some offices torn up, computers destroyed, trees smashed and/or uprooted.
The sirens never even went off in our town. Tornadoes are scary and random, yo. Scary and random
- Guy 1 - So, obviously what happened is that [our biggest competitor] spent their R&D money on a weather control machine instead of new software
- Guy 2 - Makes sense.
- Guy 1 - Here's how I think that conversation went: "Welp, we can't beat [the evil empire]'s internal practices to be better than them, so let's just wipe [work town] off the map".
- Guy 2 - "Sounds like a plan. If we destroy the buildings, we destroy [the evil empire]"
