what a great day

Today would only be better if Illinois pulls a comeback and crushes Mizzou in the second half. I'm not sure how likely it is, but I know it would make Downwood really happy.
My Badgers won their game. It was sloppy in places, obviously the first game of the season, but they still won it easily. We have a good chance this year, assuming everyone stays healthy and we quit making really dumb mistakes.
I got to watch the game on a Freaking Huge Screen, but the Big 10 Network (bastards) decided to have 1/3 of the cameras at the game be high def. It was kind of weird how it went from beautifully sharp to a collection of pixels the size of my head. But it was fun watching football with two of my favorite fans.
I also got to go to JoAnn's with my fabulous coupons and got the fabric for three projects that I've been looking forward to. We hit Jimmy John's for lunch, Goodwill to get two big boxes of unloved clothes out of the house, and the grocery store for the last couple ingredients for homemade bruschetta. Mmmm...tasty bread goodness...
But halftime is over and I should go back to crossing my fingers for the Illini. I LOVE this time of year!!
