Dear Customers,

While I appreciate that you like to keep on top of things and monitor progression of various issues, I have a small request. It's nothing too terribly strenuous, nor should it require an exceptional amount of effort on your part. Honestly, I think it's something that we really need to get out on the table right now.

When you want me to do something in your system, the Evil Empire's policies state that, under NO circumstances, am I to change ANYTHING in your database without a signed form, specific to this event, signed by you, with one copy in my hands and one sent to the main office. Nothing. I can do searches, but I can't. touch. anything. If this policy were any different, your lawyers and our lawyers would get into a huge scuffle, the furniture would get broken, and I'd lose my job.

I acknowledge the fact that you haven't had a lot of time to get to know me. It's okay, really, though it'd be nice if you could work off the assumption that I'm, at minimum, nearly as competent as your previous rep. However, when I send you a form with my name on it, my fax number on it, and emails with all sorts of Me Identifiers on it, one might make the assumption that the form needs to get sent back to ME. No, I don't know where you sent it. No, I don't know who's got it now. NO, I'M NOT GOING TO DO THE WORK UNTIL I HAVE IT!

Yes, I know I haven't done the work yet - I've been in training for the last 20 work hours. Yes, it will take me all of 30 seconds to do. Yes, I'm annoyed at you for setting the Hounds on me and getting the nice Go-Between Girl to send me very snarky, nearly nasty, emails criticizing me for not doing said work.
