weekend

Friday - Lots of work. Spent most of the afternoon helping a coworker with some tricky problems. One of them I couldn't figure out the root cause, but I figured out a workaround that magically made things better. I came home and was wiped out.

Saturday - Henna-ed my hair. At last. It's a deep, wonderful red and I love it. The kids played out back for most of the day and Downwood mowed. I did a little bit of laundry, but for the most part it was nice and quiet.

Sunday - Kids went back outside and played all day. I did lots and lots of laundry. Lots and lots and lots. Emi's good at taking clothes out of the dryer and moving clothes from the washer to the dryer. She's obviously too small to carry the clothes down, but she's very good help if the clothes are already down there.

I got just a little bit of sewing done. I cut out a Moneta for me and a Geo dress for Emi from various remnants. I told myself sternly that I wasn't allowed to serge anything until I'd done some of the hemming piled up on my ironing board. I got two skirts for me, a skirt for Emi, and a shirt for me all hemmed. That just leaves two dresses to be finished up. We'll see. Ugh. Hemming.

It was a pretty lazy weekend, overall. I talked to Mom and read my books. I tried to not stress about all the things that I wasn't doing. Just...lots of internal struggle. I got some good snuggles from my kids and stuff was externally okay.

Today - Am wearing a new snarky t-shirt and am feeling good about my hair (SO RED). I'm tired and kind of overall sad. It's just one of those things.
