for those who haven't heard the story

I decided to name the baby Peanut for now. Downwood and I are still having vigorous debates on actual names, eventual nicknames, and other such things. ("I don't care if you 'dated' a girl named that in middle school, I still think it's a cute name!") But until we get the ultrasound to verify girl/boy - and, really, until baby shows up and we know with 100% certainty - I need some other name to use.

I didn't have terrible morning/afternoon/all-freaking-day sickness during the first trimester. Instead, I just felt nauseated all the time, even if I didn't actually throw up. I eventually figured out that I felt the most sick when I was the most hungry. That realization made me curse out my body and order it to get with the program.

No, it didn't work.

But during all this, the best thing I found to settle my stomach was a spoonful of peanut butter. I could also eat peanut chicken, peanut sauces, and peanut butter cookies with no problems. Anything else was up in the air.

Therefore, the baby's name is now Peanut. This, of course, has led Downwood to the conclusion that Peanut's going to be allergic to peanuts. I don't think there's going to be a correlation.

And this concludes this morning's bit of procrastination. Back to work with me!
