sabine Still in Texas. Emi had a MELTDOWN last night - got herself so anxious and worked up that she threw up. Poor kiddo. Tonight it seemed to be Ox's turn to miss Momma.
I miss them, too.
It's really quiet in this hotel room. It's kind of nice and kind of not. I'm refilling my Alone Time buffer, but I'd rather do it when I have the option of ending Alone Time by having bedtime snuggles or book reading.
Still. I made it up to the sparkly store of sparkles after work. I found some cute stuff. I then went over to the fancy-schmancy grocery/deli to buy dinner. Then pre-bath Skype. Now, dinking around on internet and feeling sad but kind of peaceful but sad.
Emi will be calling in a little bit for a story. Last night she asked for a story about an owl, so I told her the one about the girl who could change into an owl and told all the barn owls about Wednesday and how it's the best day ever. She wasn't impressed. So I told her a different one and she was okay. She'll probably want me to go back to the one about the unicorn who lives in the village and is a doctor and a dancer. I'm not as much of a fan of it, but she'll like it.
Maybe I'll sleep for more than 45 min at a time tonight. That'd be awesome.
