sometimes, it's the only reason I'm sane

Today has been very annoying. I've gotten a ton of emails from customers, most of which seem like things they should have been easily able to figure out on their own. I keep looking at my q-tip* and telling myself that they're not doing it to aggravate me, it's just that they're helpless and lazy.
I went and got some brownie from the cafeteria, but it didn't really do a whole lot to sweeten my disposition. Lunch didn't really help, either.
I know myself and how unproductive I get when ticked off. Since I really need to get as much done this week as possible, I decided to break out the big guns.
I got out my mp3 player, queued up the belly dance playlist to a song with choreography, turned the headphones up loud, then ran through as much of the dance as possible in my office**. Now I've got a great drum solo speaking to me and asking for a choreography, please.
Sometimes, it's kind of fun to live in my head.
--------
* - Best advice from a seminar ever. Tape a q-tip to your phone or monitor. It will remind you to "Quit Taking It Personally". I don't remember anything else from that seminar, but this has stuck and has been really helpful since.
** - While I probably .could. do the full backbend without warming up, I know that's a really bad idea, so I'm going to avoid it.
