Jan. 20th, 2015 11:18 amThe weekend was pretty quiet. I did a lot of laundry on Saturday, read books, played some GW2, and read for fun.
Sunday was supposed to be an Emi-Momma all day outing to the Cookie Gala. Unfortunately for Emi, her head/chest cold had developed into quite the cough and runny nose. It totally sucked, but we told her the responsible thing to do would be to stay home and not infect any of the other Girl Scouts. It's hard for a 5-year old to get that. Poor kiddo.
So instead, Emi and I spent the morning painting. I got out a box of decapitated My Little Ponies and we set about giving them makeovers. When we get them all the way repainted, we'll spray them with sealant. Then I'll put new hair in and mine can be for display and hers can be for play (maybe). Then Emi painted a wooden bird house, a section of the plaster brick dungeon Daddy built, and some paper. It was fun and she got over not going out on a trip.
In the afternoon, the football game made me tense and worried. This stress got compounded by two kids. One who has a running monologue about EVERYTHING THAT CROSSES HER MIND. One who wanted the magnetic tiles to do something that physics and gravity just say won't happen. It was not a relaxing time for me. In the end, the good guys won, which was nice. I don't know if my boy Russell will do well against Brady in two weeks, but I certainly hope so.
Sunday night, Emi wanted to know what there was to look forward to, so I listed out our week. Thinking about it gives me anxiety, so here goes.
Also, I'm going to try to set people on fire with my mind today. This will be a select list, including only the people who use the phrase "Please advise." The world will be a better place to have them on fire rather than sending me emails.

- Wednesday - School and work. Momma has a hair cut after work (YAY!).
- Thursday - School and work. Family Fun Night from 5:30-6:30 at the school.
- Friday - School, but no work. Daddy has a dentist appointment.
- Saturday-Sunday
- Monday - Momma flies to Florida
- Thursday, late - Momma gets home
