weekend things

Was so long ago that I have no idea what happened.
Saturday
I got to sleep in, thanks to Downwood wrangling Emi. Poor girl was miserable throughout the weekend. I drank coffee and started reading through the new module I purchased for my Scion game. I'd been feeling pretty beat down by the current story line and decided it's just about damn time I destroy the world. We're going to put the ROCK back into Ragnarok!
So gaming happened and it was good. All but one player showed up and everyone was mentally "present" and on their A game. The dice betrayed all of us, as usual, so that was entertaining.
After we got through what I wanted to accomplish, we played a round of Machine of Death. Totally fun.
In the evening, I did laundry, made a dress pattern by tracing one of Emi's hand-me-down dresses, and taped together a cardigan pattern I printed.
Sunday
Tried to sleep in, mostly failed. Emi came in to snuggle, but she was so feverish and sick that I didn't get much sleep after that point.
Got up, continued working on the laundry monster, watched the kidz while Downwood tackled the lawn monster.
I did some sewing in the morning and made Emi a cute dress out of some of the chevron fabric I purchased. I cut out two, so I'll get the other sewn up for our friend's girl, who should be back for the summer soon. Emi's dress is a little big, but she says it's comfy, and it looks fine with a tshirt underneath.
We played a little bit of GW2 and then I had to head up to work for a meeting. On Sunday afternoon. For an hour and a half.
It ended up being okay, if long. It's going to be a lot of extra work heading through September, but it'll be good, I think. The group of people is going to be fun to work with. I hope I don't get stuck with the extremely cool kids, since I feel extremely uncool lately.
After stopping by Wall of Green for med refills, nail polish, and chocolate, I came home. We made dinner and played some GW2. Ox fell asleep on one of the dining room chairs. I put Emi in bed and she immediately threw up. I got her back out of bed and she threw up all over both of us. More laundry. More tears. More hugs.
Today
I'm sleepy and we have werk meeting of doom. Emi still has a high temp this morning and is still miserable. I didn't finish all my weekend laundry, so I feel behind. It's a high anxiety day, so I'll be taking some Xanax after the big meeting. I'm looking forward to dance. That's about all I've got going for me today.
