Ox and Emi

Ox had his follow-up with the GI doctor yesterday. While he didn't get a clean bill of health, he got a "as good as possible". The GI doesn't want us to attempt *any* food challenges until our allergist says that Ox is ready. When the allergist gives us the go-ahead, the GI doc wants to do another upper GI scope just to make sure that any damage Ox had from the EOE in the past is healed up. He also said that Ox is doing great *and* isn't nearly so bad off as some of his patients - one of whom has to be tube fed the same formula Ox gets. That little guy's esophagus is so damaged that he *can't* eat. Ox is doing super, as far as the GI doc is concerned.

Emi's first day of school was a RESOUNDING success! She marched right in and basically told Daddy to get out because she was fine. I picked her up and took her out for fries. She told me all about all the things they did and how fun it all was and could she please go back again? Momma's worries = completely unnecessary. She was so, so tired by bedtime. Today she'll ride the bus to school instead of having Daddy drop her off. So that will be another fun adventure.

Since I had the afternoon off, I read Seanan McGuire's new book (awesome), made a long caterpillar/snake pillow for Ox so that he'll hopefully stop banging into the wall at night (not entirely sufficient - need more pillow), and signed Emi up for soccer (she's SO EXCITED). All in all, worth coming in this morning to an exploded InBox. My email is trying to eat me alive. I regret nothing.
