Saturday was SUPER FUN! We had friends over for card games, wine, flirting, and fun. It was so, so fun. I'm still waiting on my new anti-anxiety med to kick in and help out, but I managed to have a good time anyway, so that's really what's important.

Sunday was not as much fun, due to chores and needing to act like a grownup. I restarted my Zombies! Run Couch to 5K program. Ox "helped" me stretch after. I love that little dude so much. He's totally awesome. Emi pulled me downstairs to make her a purple super cape and I enlisted her in making some crash pads for Sasha. I like stash busting!

Monday included a screw-up at work and some awesomeness at work, so I hope they balance out. I need to pay my mortgage and keep health insurance and all that. I know my brain tends to overreact and always seek out the worst case scenarios, but it makes me nervous. I was able to get my nails painted for the first time since breaking my arm, though. And dance class was totally fun. M is evil, my classmates are fantastic, and the laser cane choreography makes me happy.

Today was snuggles with Emi, a Zombie Run on the trails near work, and breakfast at my desk. I moved my mouse back to my left hand and have high hopes that this will make my neck and shoulder pain less. My arm's finally strong enough/not hurting so much so that I can use it. I made progress on some work and am getting frustrated trying to figure out another one. Now I get to be on a phone call with the people who make me crazy (again!) and drink some coffee from my Minibru. Note to self: I need to get better coffee - the stuff here at work is too finely ground to make decent press coffee.

This week should be fun. I have some Aloe Purell to set on fire and I'm going to see if my arm's strong enough to spin light. I don't know if that will hurt like a bitch or be okay. I also have a promise of fun times on Saturday and a dance workshop to kick my butt and brain on Sunday. All I have to do is keep moving and everything will be fine.

Projects!

Custom MLPs - I have all the stuff, I just need the mental bandwidth to get started.

Minis - Man, I wish I was still painting minis. I just don't have the hours to sit and do the teensy detail work anymore. Haven't since Emi was born. Maybe when she's a bit older I can teach/draft her.

Yard - I need to spend some quality time with the weeds in my yard. And get a crapton of mulch. And build a flower box for around the mailbox. And refresh the hummingbird feeder.

Sewing - I go in phases of sewing. I don't like cutting, so I usually cut several projects at once and then have many things to just sew. I have a red coat, black/red dress, chemise, and drawers all cut out. I have fabric for a purse and fancy dress for me on the table. When I get those cut, I'll be able to just sew and sew. I want to pattern out a kirtle and skirt for Emi and some faire garb for Ox.

Faire - We're going on the Steampunk weekend. I have almost everything I need. I've ordered a parasol (yay shade!) and need to find sunglasses and hat. Everything else I think I have. I'm pretty sure Downwood has enough stuff. As I mentioned, I want to make some new things for the kids, which will probably be a never-ending project list.

Dance - I ordered some holographic tape. I have to find a dowel. I'm still entranced by the idea of a laser cane from clear PVC and EL wire, but that's for far in the future. I also need to fix up my pink dress (and figure out accessories for it) and check in with Dahlal on where my new bedlah might be. And choreograph a veil solo. So, no pressure or anything.

House - My folks are coming up the first week of July. We're going to rip out the carpet in Emi's room and replace it with new laminate. This should cut down on her allergies by getting rid of the carpet that's seen who knows how many critters. At the same time, I think we're going to put Ox into a big-boy bed. Not sure if we'll have the mattresses for him in time for that or not. I've also been reading too many blogs lately and I bought a trapeeze and rings set to mount in the basement for Emi/Ox to swing on. I also bought a mat to go under it in case of crashes on the concrete. I also need to clean. Lots.

Bento - I love making cute, healthy, tasty food. I also like the validation from posting pictures to Facebook and having people tell me I'm doing a good job with lunch. :)

Blog - Trying to do a better job of keeping up with everything. I'm not a writer, but I've always liked having a journal. I just have no brain for a paper journal at home - Emi and Ox both want to help me write in it, which is less than helpful.
