50 years ago today, one of my favorite authors was born. Today, he got married. :)
Sesame Street aired for the first time 41 years ago.
31 years ago, my dad was running from Jack Trice Stadium to the hospital, but he didn't quite get there in time. I think my mom still holds that against him.

This past year has been filled with more magic and wonder than I thought the world could contain. I've seen my daughter's first steps and learned from her that every animal says "Moo". I've had absolutely terrible days at work, a surreal and wonderful weekend at House on the Rock, painted window frames, and learned how to buy siding. I've graduated to level 4 (of 4) in dance class, written some badass code, and read "Barnyard Dance" more times than is probably healthy. I've cried while packing away clothes that are too little for Emi, learned how to cook vegan, and been heartbroken for the difficulties our friends have faced.
It's been a wild ride. And so totally worth every second!
