Well, not entirely for me. Let me explain. No, is too much, let me sum up.
When I stayed with my aunt and uncle Sunday night, my aunt said I could poke through their bookcases to see if there was anything I was interested in for the evening or to borrow. I noticed that every single Little House on the Prairie book was there and was told that the oldest girl - 9.5 years old - went on a tear and devoured them all this year. Shortly thereafter, I was asked my opinion on the Twilight books as appropriate reading material.
My response: Not so much, since I tend to not like books where the female protagonist is professionally helpless.
My aunt asked if I knew of any good series that she could give to Anna. She's looking for stories with good role models, humor, but not too "adult". Here's my list:
I know there are more out there, but that's what I came up with at the time. I also showed her Goodreads and will be sending her an email with a link to my direct bookshelf and maybe even a special shelf set up for her.
What other books would you add to the list?

- Anything by Tamora Pierce, but I'm especially fond of the Trickster duet and the Bloodhound duet.
- Wee Free Men
- The Series of Unfortunate Events
- The Blue Sword
- Coraline
