There is a mulberry tree at the end of our morning walk route. There are many perfectly ripe berries on it. This makes mornings much easier to handle.
In other news, when making garb out of a pattern that you drafted, there's a distinct lack of pre-written directions to remind you that you shouldn't sew the whole seam if you're intending to put in a placket, you need to leave a seam allowance when putting together waistband pieces, you should fuse the interfacing to the fabric instead of the iron, and you need to put the waistband on right side out. Of all these things, only the last one didn't happen. But I managed to get the pants about 2/3 done last night, though I can't put the buttonholes in until I buy the buttons and I can't put the buttons on until they're somewhat fitted, just to make sure.
