Tea fueled me for most of the day. This? This is hardly unusual, save that I even forsook my normal pot of coffee in favor of tea. This could have been a clue as to how the day would progress. Almost everything that needed to be done, happened. I've still got some laundry that needs done, but I'll deal with it after faire tomorrow.
Rock on.
We started season three of my game this afternoon, after spending most of the week setting it up via email and chat. I think it went fairly well. By the end of it, a graphic and creative description of the violence you were about to embark on was just as good as rolling the dice. The characters are sufficiently badass that I'm not too worried about them getting so much as a scratch when fighting normal humans.
I had fun. I hope my players had fun, too. We brought in a new NPC and a new PC and had to try to find the balances around the roles that got replaced. I got to use the Wolf-Cows from that short-lived Dogs game, the tentacle trees from the Wizard of Oz, a time-loop like in Groundhog Day, and combat styles inspired by John Woo and Tarantino. It was fun. It was a lot of fun.
I go now to find clean sheets for the bed and rest myself in preparation for hollering "Huzzah!", bantering with the cast, shopping, and rocking on with Master William Shakespeare. It will be a good day, 'cause it's faire and that's what we do. \m/ -_- \m/
