don't care
Apr. 26th, 2006 08:47 amI'm expecting to have blisters on my feet that will have me wanting to cut off my toes to make the hurting stop. This will probably happen before lunch. This doesn't bother me, though, because my new sandals are fabulous and the combination of their heels and this short-ish skirt make my legs look even longer than usual.
Yesterday was a fairly slow day at work. I had things to do, but I was able to spend some time working with plotbunnies for my WoD game. Then, at four o'clock, all hell broke loose. I had three OMGURGENTFIXITNOOOOWWWW!!!11! issues pop up for three different customers. One of them involved a panicky email from Person A. It took me about 10 minutes to answer it, then spent 20 minutes on the phone with her. While doing that, Persons B and C both contacted me to tell me to contact Person A and be the lead troubleshooter.
So far this morning I've found out that issue #2 from yesterday isn't going to be my problem for a little while yet. I've also gotten more email from Person A with all new things that she's worried about. Issue #3 will bend itself to my whims or there will be bloodshed.
But right now I know that I look fabulous, I've got Gmail Chat to keep myself grounded in reality (there's more to life than work), and I think there might be a fresh pot of coffee in the breakroom. The universe might be about to collapse in on itself, but I don't care. Now, if I can maintain this serene state through the day, I'll be quite impressed with myself.
