Question #1: What's the one thing you'd like most ot know about me?
Everything
Um...I'm not real sure how to answer that. I'm kind of insane, which I've been working on, and I delight in very silly things. I'm a coffee and tea addict, I cherish books, and I know too much random trivia. I think I sing poorly but that I can dance fairly well when I'm in shape. I love my dog and tolerate Downwood's cats. I'm too much like my mother for us to get along very well and my sister is my mini-me.
Where in the world do you get your corsets?
All the corset/bodices that I've worn to faire I've made. I've also made one for my sister that she looks Damn Sexy in. I'm still impressed that the boys in her classes didn't stumble over their jaws on the day she wore it to teach in. My Victorian corset I bought at GenCon last year. I can't find their website right now, but I have the address at home and I'll edit this post this evening. I still need to take a weekend and make my customized duct-tape pattern, which will probably result in many pictures and rambling posts.

Well, if you must know, when I'm not living as a mild-mannered gamer, I fight crime and injustice as Sarcastro the Mighty. I'm thinking of switching from spandex to latex, but I don't know if I can get the appropriate leotard. I'll let you know what I find out.

We put a (nonrefundable) deposit on the ballroom for our wedding reception last week, and I actually managed to run an entire gaming session without having to threaten anybody or see my player start IMig people to rant about how horrible it was going. These are both Very Good Things.
Do you like socks with a seam on teh toes or above teh toes?
Above, definitely. If the seam is on the toes, I usually get blisters on the tips of my second and third toes. Not real pleasant.
When was the last time you stood on your head?
Probably in high school when I was trying out for the cheerleading team and trying to learn how to do basic cartwheels and roundoffs in the back yard. Yes, I made the team. Twice. And then turned away from the Dark Side and took my place in the bleachers where I could both cheer for our team and heckle the other players/refs without getting in trouble for Unsportspersonlike Conduct.
How much *do* you enjoy the programming job, with all the frustrations?
I really do like my job, no matter how much I bitch about it. I like getting paid, I like the people I work with, and I like what I'm doing. I'm very slowly getting comfortable enough that I'm relaxing and just taking things as they come. There are things that annoy the hell out of me, but I still like it here. I don't think that this is a "forever" job, but there are many worse places I could be. And, according to a former student from my former lab, my former PI has gone batshit insane. I suppose losing half your lab in a month could do that to you...
