There's this perception that only the bad, wicked people can brag about themselves. The rest of us are supposed to be humble and modest and never admit when we do something that we're really, really proud of, unless it's to make someone else feel better about themselves.

To hell with that.

If you are reading my journal, for whatever reason, you're awesome. Really. You manage to get up, make your way to a computer, and somehow you're here today. You rock!!

So tell me why you're cool. Say whatever it is that you're proud of. Hell, just stand up and say, "I'M AWESOME, BABY!" Because you are. It doesn't have to be a long comment, just a line is sufficient, but indulge in some self-validation today. Because you're a wonderful person and wonderful people deserve to say how wonderful they are.

Why I rock

Thus far today I have seen one of my projects on its way toward being included in the code for our next standard release. I wrote it, fixed the problems, and kept nudging it through the QA process. It's now completely done. *happy dance*

I also figured out how to do something with our program that has two of the senior members of my team utterly baffled. I figured it out, made sure that I knew what I was doing, then wrote up a tech document to be posted to our team's site so that everyone else can find out how to do this, too. *happy dance*

I think I deserve a cookie with my lunch. I think I'll go down to the cafeteria and see if I can't find one. Because I rock. \m/ -_- \m/ And after lunch, my goals are to talk to a coworker and get an answer from the customer so that I can talk to a developer, to finish a project that's been lurking for a couple weeks, and to begin to tease apart the code that controls...

...never mind. I just got handed a development project that must be done by EOD Monday. Yikes.
