Validation
Nov. 3rd, 2005 07:25 pmFor those people who commented a couple of days ago, now that I'm finally awake and lucid, here are your Moments of Free Validation. Anyone who feels left out should drop a comment here and we'll get that taken care of.
On we go.
Leading things off,
downwood is a pretty spiffy guy. He's big into dress-up, playing pretend, and dollies, making him the perfect catch for any kindergarten girl! Though he hasn't had as much time for it lately (curse the whole "moving" thing!), when he puts his mind to it, he produces works of exceptional beauty. I'm ever so lucky to have him for my future husband. My rating: True love. Aww.
Next comes
empressov, wearing a daring little Gryffindor number. A devoted fan of all things Potter, an avid reader, and devilishly clever in her chosen field, she is sorely missed in Madison. Cincinnati just doesn't know what they've got. *sigh* We shall have to have margaritas in absentia one of these nights. My rating: Bodice-riffic.
Two up and two down and
omnia_mutantur steps up to the plate. Some of the most mouth-watering recipes EVER show up in this journal, folks. The books, the perfume, the food, the whole shebang is a simply wonderful combination. Light has it real good. I mean reeeeeaaall good. Really. My rating: Mmmmmm.
lilith_13 is a freak of nature. We might be tempted to tease apart the strands of nature and nurture to see what exactly each wrought within her, but that would be a fruitless labor. I mean, after all, she IS my little sister, my mini-me, the person who I'll always be the closest to, the one who can ask anything of me. What? I'm allowed to be biased. Shush. My rating: Me like hockey.
Where to begin with
suibhne_geilt? I could tell you about the motorcycles, the spinning fire, the mad writing skills, or the secret identity, but that just wouldn't be any fun. Truly, the writing skills are damn impressive - I've not wanted to keep reading something that bad just to know how it ended! And, dude, finish Clean sometime, 'k? My rating: What's the Pulitzer of NaNoWriMo?
mearn4d10 has this mild-mannered, slightly crunchy exterior that gives way to reveal a gooey center of extremely articulate RAGE! You do NOT want to be on this guy's bad side. Seriously, you'd have better luck heading to the forum and asking Cato what he really thinks of your new luxury barge. He's a great listener and has the good taste to cheer for the most frustrating team in the NCAA. My rating: Extemporaneous diatribe master.
For one of the most rocking of rockish times, head over to
katelennon's place. Just don't, and this is here for your own safety, challenge her to a game of Pop Culture Trivial Pursuit. No, really, no good will come of that. You might also want to avoid getting into spoiler competitions with her. She will always have a special place in my heart as the One Who Introduced Me to Harry Dresden. My rating: Black leather trenchcoat, baby.
bexdragon is in a wonderful PhD program. The only drawback is that IT'S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FREAKING COUNTRY! If there is such a thing as an entropy mage, she definitely has more than a few ranks in mastercraft. While the impromptu gaming sessions, emergency pumpkin pie excursions, and the Kolache Experiment of Doom have been abandoned with Ames, I miss her muchly and look forward to seeing her again. My rating: Chaotic.
The linkage. Definitely, the linkage was what first drew me into the Cult of
scottym. Whether you've got five minutes or five hours that you need to waste, this man is the hook-up for All Things Distracting. When he's not offering sweet bites of internet randomness, he relates scathing tales of the workplace and uncommon insight. The 53 seconds it will take you to wander over and add him to your flist will be well spent. My rating: Clicky the linky.
Earlier, I told y'all about my little sister. Now, let me introduce you to the guy who's been putting up with her longer than any non-relative:
d4nim4l. Currently the focus of resentment in some scientific circles, this young man got an internship/co-op/thing at NASA. In accounting. Wrap your brain around this one. Smart enough for NASA, but still with my sister. Discuss. My rating: Take care of her OR ELSE...
Ok, that was way too much fun. I want to do more of these! Please, ask me for validation!! Plllleeeeeeeezzzeeeeee!!! Oooh, mac and cheese is ready. Yum!
On we go.
