It's been an odd couple of days. I'm not sure if it's good or bad just yet. *grin* I don't know how this game will turn out, but I'm enjoying playing it so far. What's that? Francis Crick died today. Moment of silence. As a memorial, I would suggest that everyone read THE Paper. Don't worry, it's not too terribly technical. It's a gorgeous piece of scientific writing, laced liberally with British understatement.

What do I mean by that?

We wish to suggest a structure for the salt of deoxyribose nucleic acid (D.N.A.). This structure has novel features which are of considerable biological interest.

I mean, really, look at that statement. Saying that DNA is of "considerable biological interest" is like saying that water is wet.
