For your amusement I present the following trivia:

• Boss speaks Swahili and taught me how to hypnotize a chicken.
  
• My little sister is a licensed bartender and a hell of a hockey player.
  
• The only other Dr. Insert last name here in my family was awarded his PhD in Theology.
  
• After my sister and I moved out, Mom ran for and won a seat on the City Council. This was because she didn't have nearly enough people to boss around when we were gone. She denies it, but we all know it's the truth.
  
• Though my bachelor's degree was in biochemistry, I picked up a minor in classical studies. This allows me to say things like Caesar si viveret, ad remum dareris! and know exactly how complimentary or insulting I'm being.
  
• My father's favorite candies are Root Beer Barrels. Mom absolutely hates the flavor of root beer. Coincidence? If I ever have a slightly less lazy death wish, I'll ask her which came first.
  
• My paternal grandfather used to play semi-pro softball. He's finally done being Mayor, and he and Grandma spend a lot of time traveling the country together.
